Emergency Procedures

We provide you and your pets with a 24 hour emergency service for critical illness or injury. We hope your pet never needs us for an emergency however, common emergencies relate to car accidents, heart conditions, poisoning (TICKS!) and a range of injuries.

Upon arrival, your pet will be assessed by one of our veterinarians. We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case, however, please be aware that with emergency procedures costs can vary depending on what services and treatments are required. Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your pet's stay in hospital. We rarely refer to a specialist emergency centre due to the closest being over 3 hours away in Canberra, but do still offer the option of stabilisation and transfer.

If seen out of normal consulting animals there is an additional cost associated with our veterinarians and potentially nurses attending the clinic to treat your pet. Large animals can be seen at home / farm and occur identical fees plus normal travel costs, horses again have the option of referral to the specialist centre in Canberra.

As with all our consultations and treatments, payment is required at time of treatment / discharge, we do not allow accounts. We do have the option of VetPay at all our clinics, more information can be found here.

Please contact us to discuss our after-hours arrangement, it’s always nice to know this information before you actually need
